APPRECIATION
Danelle Lahti, has been the Great Start Executive Committee Chairperson and the Great Start Collaborative Chairperson for the past 4 years. On November 9, 2011, Danelle will be facilitating her last Great Start Collaborative Meeting. Danelle is a highly respected Parent Coalition and Great Start Collaborative Leader! Danelle will continue to a Great Start leader and contributor who always makes a difference!Danelle strongly believes that there are far too many Michigan, Dickinson and Iron County children that enter kindergarten not ready to learn, due to social and emotional delays and developmental learning problems.
Throughout her leadership role, Danelle has helped collaborative and coalition members to understand the challenges of children in poverty. Because poverty affects one of every five children ages 0-4 in Michigan, Danelle has consistently and passionately taken a stand in promoting free Parent Coalition events and activities. In 2010, Danelle was recognized by her peers as the Great Start Volunteer of the Year.
Danelle, we will miss you in your Great Start chairperson role.
