Parents are their child's first and most important teacher and provide an important perspective on early childhood needs. As part of a Parent Coalition, parents will be actively involved in building the types and amounts of early childhood system supports they want and require.

The purpose of the Great Start Parent Coalition is to ensure that parents in Dickinson and Iron Counties have access to:
- Training in leadership and advocacy
- A supportive network of friends
- The opportunity to have fun and make a difference
The Parent Coalition provides parents a chance to have a voice in "grassroots" effort to advocate for their children.
VISION STATEMENT
A group of parents working together to make our community a place that supports young children and families by promoting activities that create opportunities for social and educational success.
